After we sit down and meet with you to discuss the overall scope of work you would like performed, we will draft and design your new landscape and create a full concept plan and overview of your property, this easy to understand plan is then presented to you in our next meeting. At this point any revision can be discussed and made. From here we create the master plan which includes scale drawing, plant list, construction notes, and all pricing. The final phase is scheduling and budgeting. Whether a project is large or small a "master plan" is an important tool to understanding your future landscaping, even before it begins.

Ponds Waterfalls and Water Features

Koi Pond or fish ponds have become one of the fastest growing garden features. With the introduction of skimmers and bio filters they are easy to maintain. The power of water is something that touches us all at the core. Who doesn't love the sound of moving water or watching Calico Fantail or Koi Fish meander around a pond. If you do not want the fish we install Beautiful Pond less water fall and fountains too.

Natural Stone Patios

Bluestone, Sandstone, Tennessee Crab Stone, Idaho Quartz, West mountain stone, Limestone, Granite, Flag stone, Thin stone, either wet set, dry set thermal, natural, and many more. Just like the Precast walls, pavers have come a long way in the past 10 years the manufacturers have done a great job simulating Natural stones, and Old World Cobblestone. Whether we are doing a standard brick paver or a multi sized tumbled paver we try to create transitional social areas that flow easily, and make the most use out of social spaces.

Spas

One thing we like to do at Arapahoe Landscape is keep your spa separate from your pool for the simple reason a spa should be warm and pool cool and once you connect a spa to a pool and circulate them they become the same temperature. It is also nice to have the option to use the spa in the winter, once again using your yard all year round. The best and most efficient way to accomplish this is, take any out of the box spa, then surround it with custom stonework or vault it into a raised patio. Normally this is done closer to the house as not to freeze your feet in the snow or cooler weather. Outdoor Rooms

Having an outdoor room is just that, a room with little or no walls. We usually support some type of roof structure with stone piers and columns or a wall with an outdoor flat screen TV, outdoor speakers, outdoor kitchen and outdoor fire place or fire pit. Which ever you decide they are beautiful, comfortable and useable all year round.

Outdoor Fireplace

One of the most popular features recently is Outdoor Fireplaces. They allow people to enjoy there outdoors all year round. From simple traditional fireplace mantles and chimneys to more elaborate ones with built in outdoor Pizza ovens and wood bins. Outdoor fireplaces extend your outdoor living space well into the cooler seasons and add ambiance and atmosphere to any social gathering.

Outdoor Kitchens

Outdoor Kitchens range from simple stone or masonry surrounding a BBQ and a refrigerator, too much more elaborate areas with built in bars, multiple components like ice maker, outdoor refrigerator, sink, counter space, and/or garbage area. We usually like to build the larger outdoor kitchens in areas you will need it, away from your main kitchen, like the pool house or cabanas.

Fire pit areas are a great way to extend your outdoor lifestyle with the ability to sit 365 degrees around the fire, kick back in some comfortable chairs sipping wine with friends or roasting marshmallows with family. What better way then this to enjoy!

Stone Walls

Our masons can take hammer and chisel to any stone and bring it to life. We work with all types of mediums including but not limited to River Round walls, thin and thick Bluestone, PA stone, Sandstone, Brownstone, quartz, granite, etc. We treat each application as a unique one. Sometimes the walls call for a vertical element to break up the horizontal lines, sometimes the applications calls for a more linear approach.

Not all walls are in need of formal capstone, one of the many items we recommend is a mosaic top. What ever way we decide to build your stonewalls, be rest assured it will be built to last, whether it is an ornamental sitting wall or a structural retaining wall.

Precast Walls

Precast walls are a great way to get an engineered wall that is visual appealing, yet fool proof and with today's manufacturing, techniques (Tumbling and Naturalizing they have really gotten away from the old industrial look like the back of a factory, We often use them in residential application. One of the more recent advancement made in Pre Cast wall systems is the ability to mix sizes, blend colors and break up horizontal line. Precast walls have proven to be great economical solutions to hand tooled stone walls.

Gardening and Garden Design

Creating lush gardens, colorful overlays,and dense privacy hedges has been something we pride ourselves on since the beginning.we pay close attention to how plant material work within your environment so that all our garden designs end up with brilliant color as well as varying texture that changes and flows from season to season.

Seasonal Planting

A great way to get great color in your gardens is the use of seasonal annuals. Each season Spring, Summer, Fall and winter our garden enhancement crew will come in and create beautiful displays and flowers for example Spring; may be bulbs, tulips, daffodils and pansies, Summer; impatience, wax begonias, colius petunias, Fall; mums, grasses hay bales, cornstalks and pumpkins, Winter; cabbages and dry twig displays.

Site Analysis

This process is when we come out to your property and take all field and elevation measurements, we will also create and inventory list of all materials that can be transplanted or re used on your property. Another thing we pay close attention to is "line of sight" so we make sure you see what you want to and do not see what you do not want to. (I.e. neighbors house, fence, unsightly roads, etc)

Site Work

This is a fancy name for when the big equipment come in to do all the heavy grading and rough grading which will contour your property. Equipment we commonly use for this is Bobcat service, large excavators, mini excavators, loaders, and truck machines.

Tiering Property and Sloping Property

The most common way of dealing with sloping property (whether the slope is towards the residence or away) is breaking up the slope with walls and steps, usually in smaller height as to not feel to enclosed , in effect creating one or several level functioning area in your landscape. For a more open feel and to help reduce the sometimes costly expense of garden walls and retain walls we will install boulders with Natural slab stone steps surrounded by ground covering plants, perennials and annuals in our Portfolio you can see how this works even with 7 ft elevation changes.

Drainage Work

Drainage work for the most part is done when we do site work, at this point we will install seepage pits, and sub surface drain pipes catch basins, area drains. However after the hardscaping (i.e. stone work, pavers, walls, walkways, built in kitchens, spas, pools , outdoor fireplace or fire pits,) ,and large plants are installed we will then install topsoil, fine grade and hand rake this will allow us to create swales and direction for surface water to go where we want it to.

Grounds Maintenance

Weekly we will come in and cut your lawn, edge beds and blow of all your hardscaping, our space for this service is limited because we do not want to be a cut and run company, we are a company that provides exceptional attention to detail and will maintain your property to its fullest.

Bed Maintenance and Garden Enhancement

Our garden crew will come either once a week or every other week to clean up your beds, weed, edge, trim shrubs and dead head perennials. This crew will also install and maintain seasonal plants and flowers.
